Issues with being BIG

I realised I never addressed this part of me before...

What made me wanna discuss this now?

One of my close friends are undergoing a slimming regime with one of the companies... she has seen positive results in others who have gone and she is giving it a shot... and when she told me if it works for her, then i should give it a try.. for beauty, for health...whatever reason... esp when i'm still very single and available... =)

Having said that, which girl dun wish to be pretty and wear nice looking clothes? Having grown up in a almost all men family, I didn't know how to beautify myself until I started seriously working one two years ago... I remember wearing short skirt when I was young, eventually to school skirts.. but these one two yrs, I stopped wearing skirts cos I liked myself in pants or jeans more.. more convenient i guess...

For the last one yr or so, my waredrobe has exploded cos as the market expands for ppl who are big, more varieties and styles of clothes are easily available... robinsons, OG, marks and spencer, shops just for plus size clothing, online auctions, they're everywhere... it's no longer like three four yrs ago, where plus size clothes are a rare find. Some friends will find one piece that they can fit and will snap up the same piece in various colours... although, plus size clothing are relatively easily available here, cost of it is still a prob... imagine 30 bucks for a top, another 30-40 for a bottom vs 10ish for a small top, 20ish for a regular bottom... which is why I buy a lot of stuff during sale... esp during gss.. of cos, you can't just grab anything that u can fit in... some clothes are simply "magnified" and might not look good on you or u cannot carry the piece of clothing well... so within limited choices, you need to pick the correct pieces....

Some of my friends who are big size, who dun think much of their looks and their size, would just hope to find somebody to share their life with... cos most men would prefer smaller ladies and bigger size ones are just not appealing or rather attractive... my ex was one of those.. he was the one who insisted that I lose weight for him... eventually he would feel good bringing a slim gf out.. well, that made me go on slimming pills, replacement diets and everything that says "will help weight loss" but I always believe everybody deserves somebody good not anybody who just wanna marry you for the sake of marriage...

then some friends would comment why not go for some gym or exercise to tone up and lose some weight? haven't i tried? prob not hard enough cos there's no company... i remember in sec school a friend who is a running athelete commented, " looking at you guys run makes me understand how difficult running is for some ppl and easier for others" it's true.. imagine yourself running with a load of almost 80kg... how tough would that be? quite, i guess... i would really love to lose some weight to put on nicer clothes, look leaner... i need the motivation, need the support and most of all, need somebody to trash it out with me.... there used to be a friend who did KB(kickboxing) with me, but since she left, i've left as well... she was the perfect partner in my KB class.. somebody who can hold my punches and kicks.. and who could motivate me... during that period i lost 10kg... =)

oh well, to each his own.. in my own little ways, i'll survive through the various phrases of my life with weight issues.. i'm sure i'll win in the end... =)

I think everyone is fine they way they are! We can't all be nice and thin and wear skinny, pretty clothes.....unfortunately. Oh well, like you said "we'll survive!"

Dear, we all love you the way you are. As long as you are happy and healthy. No need to slim down. Just work out to keep our body healthy and eat healthy food.
