It's been a tiring 3 weeks.... been putting in hours at work.. sometimes till 8 plus 9, school has been demanding... with classes almost three times a week and lots of papers and notes to read and a unimaginable mid term test that killed all of us who took it...
The sale began not so long ago and I've been meaning to get myself a new pair of shoes.. walking on heels everyday is not something nice.. esp when you have to climb mountains and cross bridges with it every single day!!! ( my office is on a mountain, fyi)
Anyway, I got off work slightly earlier last evening.. took a bus to cityhall and went for a minor shopping trip.. in search of my shoes... lots of things were on sale... but i was simply too lazy to give it a try... i felt i didn't need clothes.. no need for earrings, no need for stuff... i walked into marks and spencer and bought a pack of biscuits for mom cos her ginger biscuits were running low.... and still no shoes.... decided to get myself some fish and chips from basement.. the one which me, shan and raymond had on fri... i took half a day off, met them for lunch and went off to study for my mid term... taste good still... so i left raffles city with no shoes....
as i walked towards the bus stop at st andrew's church, i looked up and i saw the moon and stars(could it be a satalite instead?)... i realised, it has been a long time since I even saw stars these days.... the last time i saw, i still remember it clearly... it was at tioman with julian, YY and YB... we were there for a short getaway during national day... all of us were lying on the beach chairs and counting stars.. that was also the first time i saw shooting stars... it was such a nice feeling....
things have changed so much these days.. julian and YY got married, YB got so busy that I think he is now a permanent resident of Mars... I have changed jobs and started on my course... and gotten so busy that I have no time to see stars from my little storeroom window anymore...
as a kid, i have loved seeing stars... from my storeroom window, i could see stars... i love seeing them and just let my imagination run wild.. i would imagine flying among the stars and see them twinkling just next to me... sometimes i would imagine meow meow and boy boy with me, running among the stars and playing happily... well, all part those are part of school days... but they do bring back good memories.... hopefully, i will have time to dream among the stars again soon... =)
