I said I would write this in my blog...

Situation A:

Four of us going to Harbour front for lunch
JG: Why not we share a cab to Harbourfront? It's faster than waiting for the shuttle bus.
SS: Huh?
JG: It will cost only S$1 for each person
SS: But the shuttle bus is free!! One dollar can do a lot leh... blah blah blah...
CT, KA roll eyes, JG nearly faints on the floor
(SS fades into the background, grumbling about the S$1)

Situation B:

Four of us at Harbourfront sports shop
SS: Wah! This shirt is so nice! (but so expensive, S$179!)
JG looks at the price tag
JG: Wah! It's S$79 lor! ( It's only S$79 lah, you cockeye is it?)
SS (oblivious of whatever that was said): What are you waiting for? It's cheap!! (What? Then what you waiting for?!)
SS walks to the boss and asks for a new piece
CT and KA were somewhere else and overheard the whole thing, rolls eyes again..

Situation C:

Three of us discussing farewell lunch for CT
KA: What's the budget we are looking at?
SS: Something like about S$30 per pax lor.. I think it is reasonable
JG: Wah! So much ah??

JG and KA thinks CT prob means a lot to SS as a friend so pretty much worth the price.

Situation D:

KA and SS discussing for venue for CT farewell lunch
KA: So where huh?
SS: Why not alexandra distripark?
KA: Huh? I thought we decided on Holland Village liao?
SS: But no bus goes there!
KA: Got what! 61 goes there, right to the doorstep some more
SS: But it's not free!!
KA:(jaws drop) I'm not talking to you for the rest of the day....(goes back to her seat, disbelieving this is the same guy who wanted S$30 per pax for a farewell lunch)

This is one kind of guy whom I find irritating... you save on a miserable one dollar and splurge on a 79 dollars polo tee... irritating the shit outta me... not a man at all!!
